If you are sending winner emails to your prize winners, the emails will by default be sent from Playable.

You can change the sender name and reply-to email address under the campaign's email settings. To change the email sender, you will need to go to Account > Global Administration > Email sender.

Sender options: Select your provider

Playable

The default setting is "Playable". This will allow you to send as many emails as you want using our email server at Heysender (based in the EU and GDPR compliant). Emails will be sent from noreply@email.playable.com.

Using our email server is fully optional. If you decide to use Playable, and thereby Heysender Aps, to send out emails, you thereby confirm Heysender ApS as an accepted sub-data processor. The data that will be handled is the email address and the content of the email. Heysender ApS is located in Denmark and this is where data will be processed. If you have any questions, please email us at legal@playable.com.

Playable AWS

If you do not wish to use Heysender but instead want to use Playable's AWS account, you can choose "Playable AWS" in the drop-down menu. Emails will be sent from noreply@email.leadfamly.com.

Be aware that this option limits the number of emails you can send to 500 per campaign and will disable emails on unlimited bulk prizes.

Heysender

If your company has an account with Heysender, you can connect it. To make the connection, you will need to enter an API Key and Secret as well as an email sender address and name.

SMTP

When you set up SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), emails sent from your Playable campaigns will be transferred to your own email server, meaning the email sender will be your account instead of Playable's.

You can get the information you need to set up an SMTP connection from your IT department. See an example from Gmail here.

Receiving SMTP error notifications

At the bottom of the SMTP settings, you can enter an email address to receive a notification if there is an error.

This will help you identify and resolve issues quickly.
