Change the value of the metric data sent to your ESP or CRM

You can automatically send game data (called metric data) from your Playable campaign to your ESP or CRM via an integration.

By default, this data is sent in the same format as it's collected in the game, but you can also change the values and send the data in another format.

Let's take an example and say that you want to categorize your customers based on how often they read your brochure. You may have a field in your database to track this, which accepts the values "never", "rarely", "sometimes", or "often".

Let's say you build a personality test to find out how often your customers read your brochure. In the test, you might want to phrase the options in a more engaging way. Perhaps the answer options are "I love it and use it all the time!" or "I don't look at it very often." Or maybe you want to use images as your answer options instead of text.

Since images can't be sent through the integration, the platform will send the path to the file, which might look something like this:

Rather than sending the response to your database in this format, you can manually define what each answer option should be sent as, in your integration settings. Check the box to "map each option" and you will see the default values and have an opportunity to define different values for each one.

This process works the same for all kinds of metric data, not just images.

By manually defining the format of the data, you can send your player's game behavior through your integration in a format that fits your database's needs.
